It is 1944, and in Greenwich Village, Susan Hendrix is a young woman adjusting to two recent life-altering events. A car accident has taken away her sight, and she's just married Sam, a photographer she met while recuperating. While he is away, Susan becomes the target of con-men searching for jewels Sam has unknowingly brought home hidden in a doll. Employing disguise and deception, the crooks become desperate. Susan discovers that her blindness just might be the key to her escape, but she and her tormentors must wait until dark to play out this classic thriller's chilling conclusion.
